HTC0185 is defined by one broad upholstered curve that sweeps around the back and drops down at both sides. A clear horizontal opening separates that upper form from the thick rounded seat, preventing the chair from reading as a closed shell. Four slim black legs add a simple, darker finish below.

HTC0185 brings the back and side sections together in one wide upholstered sweep. That curve descends at both ends, but it does not fill the entire space above the seat. Instead, a horizontal opening remains visible through the middle. The warm muted upholstery keeps the upper form unified, while four black legs draw a much lighter structure underneath.
Because the lower centre is left open, the underside of the back can be followed from one side to the other. The seat remains a separate rounded block beneath it, rather than disappearing into a fully upholstered shell. That clear division makes the two main forms easy to read from the front.

Most of the chair’s character comes from the upholstered curve, but the empty band beneath it matters just as much. It lightens the centre, reveals the seat as its own shape and prevents the side sections from becoming one solid wall. The contrast is structural and visual, without relying on quilting or added decoration.
